Board Assurance Declaration for Safeguarding Children - December 2009
_________________________________________________________________

Core Standards Declaration

We aim to deliver a better and more responsive health service and improve the health of local people. We have NHS budget for our local population of 300,000 people, which is one of the most ethnically diverse communities in the UK.

We put the patient at the centre and involve local people, users and carers in re-viewing and designing services to meet their needs.

NHS Constitution: Local Decision-Making about Funding of Medicines and other Treatments

Our Treatments Outside Service Level Agreements (TOSLA) panel is responsible for assessing cases where patients need treatments that are not covered by current NHS agreements. The assessments the panel makes about patients are confidential. The panel makes decisions on behalf of NHS Brent about special requests for funding treatment. Decisions are based on the circumstances of each case which are looked at individually. Click here for more information.
