Questions and Answers

Question 1. Would you be kind enough to explain why you have chosen this locality and site for your GP led-health centre? What evidence is there that this is a ‘most needed area’? Answer. The Wembley site was chosen following a health needs assessment carried out in Brent which is detailed in the Board Paper discussed at the PCT Board on the 25th of September and is available on the website at the following link www.brentpct.nhs.uk/html/Publications_5428.htm. The paper is part L of agenda.

Question 2. Sadly the link does yet show the minutes for the 25/9/08 meeting.  When are they likely to appear? Answer. The minutes will be formally approved at the next Board meeting and will be available on the website on the 18th of November.

Question 3. Which PBC Cluster Groups will the Harlesden Medical Practice and GP Led Health Centre belong too? Answer. The Harness GP Co-operative and the Wembley GP PBC Cluster are geographically the closest Practice Based Commissioning Groups. However, the provider of the new contracts can forge relationships with any PBC Cluster they wish too.
