Patient Experience
Patient Satisfaction
Brent HAZ in partnership with Brent Council and Brent Police has set up a citizens panel which aims to gauge the views of Brent residents towards local public services. Mori recruited the people to the panel. Brent Citizens panel consists of a representative sample of 1200 Brent residents.
Brent HAZ funding covers the cost of an annual health survey, the last one was conducted in April 2001.
Some key survey results:
- 60% of people said they had visited their GP two or three times during the last year and 50% had had visited the dentist in this period.
- 30% of people interviewed had used complementary therapy in the last 5 years
- 41% of people strongly agreed that complementary therapies should to be provided free by the NHS.
- Asked which three things people would like more money spent on locally in the NHS, 39% said reduce waiting times for operations, 35% employing more nurses, 25% employ more General Practitioners (GPs), however only 8% said additional money should be spent on complementary therapies.
