The child health team support and facilitate the opportunity for parents to take part in the preschool and school health immunisation programme held at local clinics, GP surgeries and in school.
It is an important part of the child health promotion programme to ensure that there is sufficient uptake of immunisations so that the whole community is protected against the dangerous diseases that can affect children.
