Respiratory Guidelines

1. The Joint North West London Hospital Trust, Brent and Harrow PCTs Asthma Prescribing Guidelines (In Adults and Children over 12 years) has been temporarily withdrawn pending the issue of national guidelines from the British Thoracic Society/ Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network (BTS/SIGN) expected in the spring of  2009.


2. Joint North West London Hospital Trust, Brent & Harrow PCTs Guidelines for Management of Stable Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

These guidelines have been produced by the Respiratory Team at the NWLHT and approved by the Brent PCT Prescribing and Medicines Management Committee and the NWLHT Drugs and Therapeutics Committee. The guidelines provide management plan and local drug choices. Prescribers are encouraged to refer to the BTS/SIGN Asthma Guidelines May 2008 and NICE guidance on Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Feb 2004 for full details
